Will 1968 442 new seat covers fit a 1967 442 seats
I bought a new 1967 442 in mid 67. The seat panels were vertical. The 1967 442 I have now the panels are horizontal. I am getting ready to replace the upholstery in my current 67 442. I like the 68 seat covers, over the 67 covers. Will the 68 seat covers fit my 67 seats. Not interested in originality.
As a side note: I remember something about a GM strike in 1967. I believe I got one of the last 442s prior to the strike. Don't know if this has anything to do wit the seat covers. The dealer I bought the 67 442 (in 67) told me I was lucky to get my car when I did, because if it was a few day later it would have been held up for weeks, because of the strike.

The bucket seat frames are dimensionally the same from 1966-1972. The only differences are the location of the seat back release mechanism. Note that depending on the upholstery pattern, the foams may be slightly different. The foams need to match the upholstery.
