Ashwell covers
Not an expert, but in convertibles I thought the interior lower rear quarter covers were called “piston covers”.
I always took this to mean they covered the top-raising hydraulic pistons.
Which, FYI, pivot when they put the top up.
So, if you put 6X9 speakers back there, be ready to replace them now & again as the pivoting piston interferes with the speaker magnet.
If you’re lucky the speaker will go. If not the speaker rear corner will cut a slice into the hydraulic piston and make a $400 mess…..
Hasn’t happened to me yet, but I’m waiting…..
Cheers

I did this work a couple months ago. I found that the factory padding beneath all parts was still in pretty good shape. My PUI parts also had a layer of foam padding on them, just behind the vinyl.
