I have a 1971 Olds Cutlass. Can anyone tell me why my driver power bucket seat bracket mounting holes are 11.5" apart and the studs on the floor are about 15" apart? Thanks Roger
Post some pics. The A-body power seat mounts are not the same as the manual track mounts. Below is photo of an A-body power seat track. This is a late 72 style with the front/back drive cables on both rails but the earlier tracks have the same feet.
Here is what the original power floor brackets on the floor looks like:
You can also by reproductions to weld in if your car does not have original braces. The inner brace is actually the same as the manual track, but the rear stud is moved to the forward hole (already punched)
Thanks for the pictures, my floor mounts don`t look like your picture. I guess my car was a bench seat or non power car from the factory. Thank you all for your help.
I measured the front power seat studs on my 1970 Rallye and they are 12-3/4" apart. I beleave they are off about 1/4"becouse the seat was binding when mounted I open the hole on the track so that it just dropped on the studs and the bind was gone ane the seat works as well as a single drive seat track can work.
