Manual bucket seat to power seat conversion.

I have a really nice power bucket seat track I want to install in my 1971 Cutlass. It looks like I will have to change the seat mounting brackets on the floor, are any of the mounting holes and studs of any use? Has anyone done this conversion before that can offer any pointers. I really don't want to tear the old seat brackets out. I searched and found a few pics but definitive as to the install. Any info would be much appreciated.

the only diff i can remember is theres an special bracket on the floor for the motor, its for torque flex..the bracket is sold repop, and welds in with 3 or 4 tacks..no big deal.

if you have buckets, youre set, many people dont add the bracket, and i never did either..and never saw a problem,,as i got older i did add the bracket

its the one with the diamond shape extra metal...for the drivers side

Thanks. The picture of the brackets are for drivers and passenger side? Is there only the addition of one bracket per seat ? The inner seat mount by the console uses the factory bucket location, I noticed that side fits nice, I just may need to Fab a new mounting hole for the rear mount.

yes 2 brackets, 1 for each side, the inside location, next to the hump..the diamond shaped belongs on the drivers side for the power track

The factory inner bracket has the hole for the forward stud location for the rear mount of the power frame. You could use a bolt upward through the floor.
