69 Cutlass aftermarket seat help!

I'm new to classic cars and I need some help ordering the right stuff for my '69 sedan.

I removed the original bench front seat and I want to put in individual seats with a center console. The original mounting points I think would require drilling into the floor to create the holes for an aftermarket seat bracket.

I need help with how to do this!

Thanks,
Baker

Are you wanting to put in factory style bucket seats, or something else? If your sticking with factory bucket seats you can use the two outer bolt holes/studs. Then purchase reproduction brackets for the inside seat rails. Then place the brackets in the car, set the seat on them to located the correct place to secure them, remove the seat and weld in the brackets.

If you want to put in something else, try to purchase the floorboard brackets with the seats and do something similar to decide where to attach the brackets.

My 2 cents. John

Where can I find floorboard brackets? What's a good website for brackets and seats?

I've seen decent ones on CarID.com not sure their reputation.

Thanks!

Carid is a sponsor of this website, never heard of any complaints.

CarID is an unethical company, at least their advertising/marketing dept is, and I'd never do business with them.
