70 to 71 Interior Blue Question
70 to 71 Interior Blue Question
I’m build a 70 Cutlass with the light blue interior . I have a guy with 71 blue interior looking to sell the headliner and plastics like seats, kick panels , visors, headliner trim, arm rest bases etc. Is that the same blue as the light blue 70 model ? Could it be sprayed or to dark to look right. Thanks for any help
The '70 interior blue is not the same color as the '71. None of his parts will be the correct color for a '70 but yes, you could spray some of them. Headliners are relatively cheap so I'd opt for a new, correct-'70-color, headliner instead of trying to spray the massive '71 headliner. Other parts could be recolored/sprayed with no problems but you'll need a few different colors for the '70 interior if you're worried about getting it more exact.
Headliner and visors are one color. Armrest bases (and probably the headliner windlace) and seatbacks/bases are another color. Kick panels are yet another color.
