70 blue interior paint

Has anyone used this paint? If so, how well did it match the original color? Also, Is this the console color or the kick panel color? I can't tell from there little sample picture?

I called them today to see what color this was. They told me it is just 70 olds blue interior. I told them there were two differant colors in the 70 blue interior and they had no clue as to what this was for. I told him the console and seat backs were a lighter shade than the kick panels and dash. He went and talked to another guy and still had no clue what it is for. I guess I will just have to buy a can and see for myself.

Looks like the light blue poly that I have in my 69. I also have the dark blue on the kick panels and dash. I had to do door panels when I bought the car in 84. Much easier to find good parts in the boneyards back then. I ended up going to an automotive paint store where they custom mixed a quart of each color in vinyl dye. I would guess they still have the formulas. As far as a perfect match, you may have to buy a can as you stated and try it out. BTW, I love the little 62 in your picture.
Cheers, Mike

Hey Eric, checking in to see if you bought the blue interior paint and how it matched up with your expectations. Thanks.

I never got any. I have another plan. I did get a reply from them and it is the console color and not the darker color.

I would not bother with it. That seller thinks they made three different blue interiors in 1970,and it depended on what color the exterior of the car came with.
