I'm looking to paint/dye my dash pad. It is not cracked but is very faded and extremely brittle. I've read other's post about using SEM products to change the color of interior parts, but I'm confused about which SEM product would be best to use on the dash pad:
I have used SEM flexible coatings many times and does really good. Landau black is what I used as well on a console and looked really nice. I would second using the adhesion promoter. it really does help.
Thanks for all the replies! I pulled the trigger today on the Landau Black, Plastic Prep & the Adhesion promoter. I'll report back with some before & after photos of my experience.
Older thread I know. Just for future reference, I find that Sem satin black is perfect for under hood parts, grills and such. Sem trim black has a slightly flatter finish, perfect for consoles. Sem landau black is a vinyl dye, good for interior items like dash pads, kick panels, armrests, door panels.
