Loose sailboard - remedy?

I have a 72 Cutlass and the driver's side sailboard is loose and sticks out about 2 inches. I believe the original fastener is broken but cant see behind it. I cant find someone who sells fastener. Any ideas- adhesive?
Thanks

You could probably use some adhesive and then wedge something from panel to panel until it sets up. Troys Toy on this forum suggested using an adjustable shower curtain rod.

You could try using sticky back velcro too. Pull the tape off both sides and slide several pieces in behind the area that's sticking out. Wedge as described above until set.

Good luck

Rick thanks for the input. Never thought about the adjustable closet pole. Wife said "make sure I get it back" .
Thanks again
