67 cutlass window crank help

I mistakenly didn't note when I took the interior out of this car over a year ago and now I don't know the order of things.

so there is a spring and a plastic backer. which goes on first, the spring or the backer

of the backer, I assume the indentation goes into the door rather than the other side which would have a round section sticking out if it went on that way.

on the spring, does the small end go on first or the large end. thanx!!!!!!!

The small end of the spring goes against the door, the large part pushes the door panel out so there is no space to be seen when all is done. The plastic piece/disk goes with the extended "cone" sticking into the hole in the door panel then the crank.

You're welcome.
The plastic disk gives the window crank something to "ride" against as you crank the handle. Without it the cranking would quickly rub a hole in the vinyl door panel, the spring pressure assures that.
