I’m trying to replace the window sweeps on my 1968 Cutlass. I purchased the OEM style from Fusicks. What I received was PUI sweeps. Like many it seems, I was disappointed with them. My initial observation is the the chrome bead is larger than the original and the ends look to just be haphazardly cut with wire cutters. The originals have a nice rounded end.
is this this the best/only option available repop or is there a better option?
If I have to use these (only option) my thought would be to make the ends a littles nicer. By reshaping them, maybe trying to fill the ends with solder (without melting the rubber) and trying to round them off and smooth with a file.

While Fusick has manufactured a number of otherwise unavailable parts for Oldsmobiles, they also resell a lot of other vendor's parts at substantial markup. Their motor mounts come in the Anchor boxes but Fusick charges ten times what you can get them for at RockAuto. Be an informed buyer. As for the window sweeps, I get mine from Steele.
