will a 69' chevelle bench seat fit a 68' cutlass ?

There is a local chevelle bench for sale cheap, and I need a temporary seat while I can get my original redone. Will the bolt holes lineup?

I'm pretty sure they will. but never tried it. i know the buckets are the same from buick, chevelle, olds, so i'm pretty sure the bench will bolt the same.

I currently have a bench seat. I actually like the bench over the buckets.

A 69' seat would be a foot wider than a 68' seat.
I thought Pontiacs were the wide tracks?

If it's a manual bench to manual I'm pretty sure they're the same, power bench seats have different floor mounts.

A foot wider ? Wow that might not work out to well.

Actually, he was pulling your chain for putting an apostrophe AFTER 68 and 69 (as would indicate FEET in a dimension) instead of before. Thus 69 feet is a foot wider than 68 feet.

Always a kidder...

By the way, yes the Chevelle seat will bolt in, assuming it's the same body style (2dr and 4dr seats are obviously different).
