Sticky Dash

My 75 Cutlass dash is slightly stick/tacky. Not sure if it is from age, resins bleeding out or from a previous owner using ArmorAll etc on it years ago.
I'm scared to scrub it too hard causing discoloration to the dash.
Any ideas what I can do?
Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks

Jeff, the Oldsmobiles and other GMs of the 60s and 70s are notorious for this sticky substance gathering on the steering wheel and dash. It is the plastic in the dash that "degasses." You may even find a film on the inside of your windshield. Use a mild cleaner to remove the residue. I prefer Simple Green to more caustic cleaners like Goo Gone. Here's a thread with a ton of links:

Thanks for the replies.... Now I know the dash won't stay dry away after it has been cleaned, I will know what to expect... Going to try some goo gone.. I was cared to try much, didn't want to discolor anything.
