Seatbelt question?

I have been looking for a while now for a set of black seatbelts with the correct retractors and the shoulder straps that go on the headliner for my 72 coupe with buckets. i found a set that r from a 66 gm car with the retractors that r correct but r a different color n the shoulder straps, will these fit my 72? I know the ones for the floor will but unsure if the shoulder straps interchange. Have had a hard time finding some replacements in any color for a price i can afford, running out of $. These r cheap n i can redye easily. Thanks for ur help fellas

If I remember right, the 1972 shoulder strap had a button on it that fit into the floor retractor, then clipped into the female connector. I think you'll have to stay with 1972 to use that. The other option would be to swap the whole set out for the two belt setup like were used in 1968-70. Will be a little easier to find, but none of these are cheap anymore. Have you created a parts wanted thread here yet? You can also watch ebay for any A-body car the years you need. You may already know, but just in case the A bodies include Cutlass, Skylark, LeMans, Chevelle and a few other things like the Gran Prix used the same bucket seats and I'm pretty sure the same seat belts.
