replacement options?
Im trying to save the original interior panels for a 70 442 and the chrome trim in picture is the worst. Isn't there a thin chrome, mylar tape to replace this? Is it possible? Do interior restoration shops have an answer for this?

I had great results taping off the vents and center console and using Krylon silver metallic for the “chrome” finish trim . When its a smooth surface it really lays/shines nice. Finished it with a clear. A solid affordable easy option.

Ooof, that's tough.
As painful as it would be, best bet would be to get Legendary on the phone, try to find someone that has a clue, and ask if they would sell the material.
I suspect it is bonded to the "wood" trim and the vinyl, so replacement would be quite hard.
I wouldn't use the paint for this surface. Paint works well on the flat plastic trim sections. But this rounded soft plastic with cracks? No.....

for the dash trim i found some 1/4" half round chrome stick on trim in a blister pack at advanceauto. maybe thay have a similar chrome flat trim ? I have seen a wide chrome tape but that would be painful to cut nicely
maybe hunt around ebay I saw this on there
