So what do I need to get this back to how it was? Thinking of ordering/finding a rear package shelf but unsure how they were designed. Was this different on the cars without rear speakers or were there some sort of pop out panels for speakers?

If you want to remove the speakers, you can get a new package tray cover or recover your old one to cover the holes.

First, understand that there were no cars from the factory with two rear speakers that year. The factory stereo used the one front dash speaker and one in the rear (on the passenger side, if I recall?). The other hole in the rear package shelf was for the optional rear window defogger.

Cars with a factory rear speaker got a mesh package shelf cover - the speaker mounted from inside the trunk. Cars without a rear speaker got a solid cardboard shelf cover. Both styles are available repro.

Ok, so from what I'm told I don't have an original radio to the car as the date sticker isn't correct. So how do I tell what the car had originally? Is there any way? It does have a windshield antenna. Is there a part number on the shelf somewhere?
