My bucket seat and console conversion

Recently picked up a 77 Cutlass Supreme Brougham that had a 60/40 bench seat. I really wanted buckets and a console. Here's my solution. Still waiting on inner seat belt assemblies.image.jpeg

Al, that's a pretty nice setup. Did you have to recover the seats?

They were Trans am seats. I found NOS material to do them in. Both the stripped and solid black material were used in the 77 Cutlass bench seats. Thanks for the kind words.

I wanted a custom look but I also wanted them to look like they belong there.

So I maybe going in another direction with my seats. Just wondering if there was any interest in the custom buckets I installed in my 77 Cutlass Brougham. I used NOS materials on these seats. Thanks Al

That's nice. I think you were wise not to butcher things up trying to put the floor shifter in. I was watching All Girls' Garage on the Velocity Channel last weekend and they gave a mid-'70s El Camino a similar treatment, right down to incorporating cup holders into the console in place of the shifter, but I think yours came out a lot better. It helps that you used the correct console for that body style.
