Interior trim paints for a 72 Cutlass/Vista
The cowl tag on my Vista Cruiser shows what I believe to be a 944 Interior trim code, which I have researched and found a couple names of "Midnight Covert" AND "Light Covert".
I have looked EVERYWHERE for paint that goes by either of those two names and have found nothing.
Does anyone have any leads on where I might be able to buy a couple spraycans or even just some cans of this stuff for dash/interior trim applications? I have kick panels that I want to paint the same color as the dash.
I'm asking here because I do know of a place locally that will gladly match any color paint I bring them, BUT...... that costs about 80 bones for about 16 ounces...so....yeah.
Thanks in advance,
Buz

The trim code indicates only the primary upholstery and carpet color. What you need is a good paint chip chart for your car that includes the interior paint codes and formula numbers. PPG Ditzler, DuPont and R-M chip charts from that era almost always include them. Sometimes they're on the back side of the chip chart.
