How would I know?
The interior of my '72 Supreme is the original green color, but my seat belts are black. The date codes are correct, so how would I know if it was built with black seat belts, or if they should be the same color as the interior?

The standard belts were all black. The deluxe belts were color-matched to the interior. This is documented in the PIM, Section 0. What do your buckles look like?

I only have a 1970 chart of recommended interior color combinations, and an intermediate car with green interior would receive either standard or deluxe seatbelts in green. Perhaps someone has a similar brochure for 1972.

[QUOTE=72455;1363808...I also noticed that the buckles are silver, where as the ones in my car are black. Dunno if that helps, but I figured I'd throw it out there.
Brushed stainless buckels are on the deluxe version

So why was it even relevant to the OP's question? Sorry, but I really don't understand why people feel compelled to waste time posting info about completely unrelated cars in response to a specific question about a specific model and year.

It's no doubt you have forgotten more about Oldsmobile’s than I and others on this website will ever possess, but my observation is that you tread harshly at times on others when it is uncalled for; I don't particularly care for it, and I suspect there may be others that feel the same way.

One other comment, Joe. When I replied I thought I was replying directly to the op. By the time I completed my response, your response had posted ahead of mine. So, if you are under the assumption I attempted to undercut your response in any way, you are incorrect.
