So did the seat bracket rip loose from the floorboard taking a chunk of the floorboard metal with it? If so, you'll need to weld it back up. Your choice on how you do it, but be sure you get enough support on the floorpan to hold it together even if the car gets in an accident. You don't want the seat to come loose with you sitting in it. For as rust free as it all looks, this is a really strange damage. John

I may be wrong on this but it appears that bucket seats may have been installed at some point in a car that didn't originally have buckets. It looks like the seat track was just bolted to the floor pan and no brace or reinforcement is present. If this is the case, the floor pan by itself is not strong enough to support the seat. The seat may have flexed the metal over time, causing a crack which ended up as this hole. If this is correct, you will need to fix the damage and then install (weld) the correct reinforcement braces to the floor pan to fully support the seats. 68-72 A body braces are reproduced. As John points out, this is a safety issue and could have devestating consequences if your were ever in an accident.
