Experts Advice Needed AC Vents (Chrome/Silver trim)

I want to redo the silver on the ac vents on my car. The two on the outside and the center vent. Were the blade edges on the center vents originally a chrome/silver or black? The ones I have look like there is some traces of silver or chrome on the edges. Are there 3 silver/chrome outlines around the vents in the corners of the dash? I'll be using a Chrome paint pen by Molotow. Pictures of the way they are suppose to look would be awesome!

Thanks!

Brian

Disassemble the vents, and send the parts to be redone to Chrometech.

They are vacuum metallized parts, and they can make them look new again.

the paint pens don't work well.

My442 How do you disassemble the vents? I have a 72 Cutlass and I’m attempting to remove the drive side vent to aide me in replacing the Tubing the connects to the lower distribution. Any hints?
