I am getting ready to redo a boat interior and I am going to use SEM products. Their stuff is really good. As far as duplicolor products go I don't know. Like anything it's all about the prep work. Use a good grease and wax remover. I have seen soft vinyl repainted that looked nice years later and I have seen where it was peeling off rather quickly. Patience and preparation. Call a place like Eastwood. I know they sell SEM products. Good luck with your project.

X 2 on SEM. The Duplicolor, available at many local auto parts store, is actually pretty good however. I did my dash with the duplicolor 15 years ago and it still looks like new today...on my everyday driver (I use 303 arospace on it twice a year though for protetcion). Just prep the area to be done like advised above.

I just dyed my door panels, backseat and back side panels. I used 3 different products, SEM Landau black from eastwood, krylon fusion and Rustoleum vinyl and fabric. I have to say the rustoleum went on the best, dried the fastest, and dont rub off. Pics to follow later. I'm gonna go over the door panels 1 more coat of the SEM.

Which pictures have which Product(s) used? Never heard of the Rustoleum before? Did you use the Krylon Fusion on any vinyl?

I used the SEM on front door panels and backseat. I used the Rustoleum on the rear side panels, and the fusion on the armrest, and the curved panels on both sides of the backseat. Had a problem with drippy nozels on the SEM paint. Just ordered the SEM satin clearcoat to go over everything.BTW the original color was light green. Just wanted to try a few different products to see what is the best.Still have to do the dash, headliner, and headliner trim, and steering column. UPS just delivered my new kick panels as I was typing this.
