Do I need to unbolt gas pedal to install carpet on 72?

trying to install new carpet, looks like it needs to go forward about 4-5 inches but hits gas pedal arm. Should I unbolt the 2 bolts I see there? Anything else to get it free? Thanks for the help.

No, you shouldn't have to take that off To put the carpet in. It sounds like you would be putting the carpet too far forward. You can tell something by the position of the pad underneath the pedal.

Ok, thanks. I probably just need to trim a little from the top. I'll check tonight. 👍

The grommet for the high beam switch should locate the carpet position for you, assuming the one you got has the grommet pre-installed.

Yeah the foot pad fits good in the corner so I think it's good. 👍
