Convertible Top Boot Slide

I apologize if I am repeating a previous thread - I was not able to find an answer to this question.
Does the slide rail attach to the rear seat back, or does it attach to the bulkhead behind the seat? I was not able to find anything about this in my assembly manuals, and there do not appear to be existing holes in the bulkhead.

It attaches to the bulkhead behind the seat. There should be holes in that bulkheadwhere the screws thread in to. The seatback has to come out to attach that slide rail to the bulkhead.

Thanks Randy. I will take another look at it tomorrow to see if the holes are there.

On 64 through 67 it attaches to the back of the seat. These use a Velcro strip, worked good when new but not so good 40+ years later.
Does the seat back come up several inches above the bulkhead? If the bulkhead is lower than the seat would you want the front of the top boot to sit below the seat? Check where everything sits and think it over.

On '68 and '69, it screws into the bulkhead. I don't know about '70 and newer.

No holes on my bulkhead except for the top liner. No sweat. I have lined it up and test fit - will drill some holes tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback.
