Console lock removal

I'm trying to figure out how to remove the Console lock on a "63" Starfire. I have a service manual but for some reason it only shows the parts & not how to disassemble the parts. There are 3 parts, the housing which I believe has threads in the top, the lock and the escutcheon. The little prawl that keeps the door shut is broken but I have another, if I can get the old lock out.
Help is much appreciated.

It could be like a glove box and you need the key in the lock and a small rod in the small hole in the front of the cylinder.

Or it could be like a '68 console and have a hex around the barrel of the cylinder and you have to rotate the hex to unscrew it from the lock cylinder... needs an inside out socket to drive the hex...

I finally got the lock off the console lid. I had to slap myself on the forehead like the V8 Juice guy , when I got it off. It was so simple and obvious. Just unscrew the bezel (escutcheon). No tools or key needed.

Doesn't the inside of the bezel have a hex??? You would use a tee handled tool similar to the eighties wheel cover lock...
