Can this be cleaned off of vinyl?

Put my vert boot in the trunk and part of it got under the spare. It was a little dirty and I happened to have a Clorox wipe in my hands and wiped the dirt off. Later I noticed it now appears to be stained where the tire was sitting on it. Did I screw it up by using a Clorox wipe?

Don't know about Clorox wipes, but I had a Goodyear tire setting in the back seat of my 55 vibrate enough to leave a black transfer mark on the white upholstery, the only thing that took it off was a dampened rag with Clorox on it and I tried most everything I had ever herd of before trying the Clorox....Tedd

I can see where Clorox would work on white upholstery, any other color probably not so well.

Some of this stuff actually burns white vinyl.

I think WD-40 will take off tire marks.
I'd be careful with the Clorox, bleach can tend to make some whites actually turn yellow.

Try acetone in an area that is not visible first. But it will take out most stains, just be careful.

Those are all great ways to take stains out of vinyl. The other products like TSP and likely Clorox are not a good choice for white vinyl. They make it look real nice at first, but if not thoroughly rinsed off, the TSP burns it. Acetone is the ultimate vinyl cleaner but should only be used for the most stubborn (stain).
