The Bosch looks pretty good, I just put a led in it instead to blend with the other gauges I did with Led. Im sure it would look better at night rather than day time lol

Absolutely, and since there's no U21 gages on the left side of the speedo it actually looks like it could have been stock (except for the Bosch nameplate). Given the ?? reliability ?? of the U21 tach and clock I think this is a really nice fit to the dash. Very well sourced and installed. Like the look of the LED lights too. Since my car is no longer anything but a summer (day) cruiser I'll forego those and just keep the stock 168 and 194's.
Is that the Bosh Sport II 3&3/8" diameter unit? I would like to copy what you did. That looks great! Thanks, Ed
Yes it is, I just cut out the blank gauge that was in the car to make the mount, took the chrome bezel off the tack and the red line indicator, took out the dim yellow light, added a white led, ran a little tape around it, friction fit it, red and white went to the fuse panel, ground it, green to the distributer.
Copycatting is said to be the highest compliment a person one can obtain. I won't post any pic because I don't want to steal your thunder but my new Bosch tach looks great. Thank you Skyhigh for sharing some tech tips on a great idea and happy motoring. Ed
