A member here was searching for some info to remove the lock from the console door of his 66 442... I sent him a pm but was not able to insert a photo of the lock assembly... So I figured I would post it here... Tom, this one is for you (and anyone else who has a use for it)...

find the secret hidden retainer tang access hole.

Access the secret hidden retainer tang by such means, using say the proper tool BPC-01 [Bent Paper Clip, Burroughs Tool Co.]

Depress SHRT, then insert the key. This will hold in the SHRT and the similar protruding tumblers.

pull out cylinder with key in it.

Slacken the escutcheon nut using the proper 8-point tool.
