56 olds carpet

Hi,
I am currently restoring my 56 olds and I want to know which type of carpet to get daytona or essex or loop? I prefer to be same as the original but if the other are better I don’t mind.

You can get aftermarket interior from this supplier. If you contact them you might be able to get samples of their carpet for a small fee even though you live overseas.

I bought seat covers from them for seats for my classic Ford truck. They have good prices and great service.

If you want OE carpet you can get it from SMS.

I've never ordered from SMS. I've heard they charge accordingly for the products they provide. $$$$$

Somehow in my declining years, everything turns into a long story. I'll try to get to the point as quickly as possible but this goes back over 12 years. After getting my '56 running, it came time to replace the interior. No local upholstery shop would touch the job, so I started looking at buying the materials and doing the job myself. I knew that the bride of 40+ years wasn't going to be too happy about the price tag but I live a charmed life. Son #3 was about to get married and his bride-to-be wanted to use the '56 in their wedding because the bride maids' dresses matched the '56!! How about that for luck? So that convinced my bride to let me buy the materials and I spent the winter replacing the carpet, seat covers and headliner. I used Automotive Interiors (mentioned above ^^^^^) for all my designs and purchases. They were excellent. Remember that they are not the OEM of a lot of the stuff, but they were and are a great one stop source to pull together your entire order. And that's what I was looking for.at the time. Whew....thanks for your time.

Every car have a story wish I know my car story.
but what a coincidence I am actually restoring it for my wedding and it will be classic like our grandparents did it back in the day!
one of the shops said will do the interior for $10k+ and I saw there work quality and its below average so thank god we can get something decent near oem for a fraction of the price!
