1970 Cutlas S gold headliner

Hello all, I have 2 1970 cutlass S both with gold interiors. the first car was my initial car with a great drive train, but the body is shot. Ive since purchased another 70 cutlass S with the same gold interior. My problem is the new car headliner was perfect with the exception of a 5in tear. Ive taken a peice of it to an apolstery guy who has been through his contacts and cannot find a gold headliner. I also cannot find one. Im sure they are the same color between the two cars but I havent verified this. The apolstery guy suggested dyeing it. He also suggested that we change the whole interior to black! This car is in great shape andf the seats were redone, the carpet is still original. I couldnt belive he said that. Anyways, I told him that wasnt an option. Ive checked yearone, paddock, opgi, the parts place, no luck. So If anyone had anyideas or suggestions id appreciate it. Im new to this forum so I dont know if I can post pics but I can sur email them if anybody wants, Thanks

I don't believe that the material is being made.....You may have to purchase a white one and then dye it

You might want to try this link http://www.smsautofabrics.com/ I can't guarantee that they will have the color you need, but try contacting them and see if they can help you out. Legendary Auto Interiors doesn't show that color in their catalog. Good Luck!

Very strange Legendary doesn't have it. I'd give them a call. Also, I've had good luck with SMS in the past. Very impressive. If you send them a sample of what you need, chances are they'll have it.

Any of these come close?

By the way, I recommend American Trim and Upholstery Supply highly.

If you can't find an original match just get something close and have a good interior shop redo the headliner. I had an interior guy redo my seats, door panels, and package tray. I am very impressed!
