Does anyone know the difference between the 68 and 69 442 door panels and also the doors. I have seen in pictures the lock **** is in a different place, just wondering if anything else.

I'm assuming you're talking about hardtop(holiday coupe) door panels?? The inner steel piece at the top of the door panel is different on a '68 because of the vent window, plus the inner window sweep doesn't go all the way to the front of the panel, it stops right before the vent window & of course '68 panels have the hole for the vent window crank. I'm not sure about the post coupes since they all had vent windows.

 

There is also a difference in location of the door lock ****.

 

Thanks, Mine is not a post car. I did not realize the 68s all had vent windows. I bought a set of pui door panels probably 10 years ago and still in the package for a 68. I haven.t opened them yet and was wondering if they were gonna fit. I had no idea they were different from the 69 which I have. I'm still learning the differences between the 2 when looking for parts. I guess i will have to get some new panels.
