1968 cutlass metal dash black

Hello,

I was wondering what the factory color would of been I have tried a satin black but it's to glossy it seems. Has anyone painted their dash and what color did you use? Thanks

I just went and looked at the metal part of my dash - the part up by the windshield. I'd say it's definitely not flat black but, I'm wondering if a Krylon semi-flat black would match the original.

The front part of my dash - the part that you see when you are behind the wheel - is definitely shiney - more like a semi-gloss black.

maybe my dash had faded from years of being in the sun as the side I hadn't painted looked flat or less shine
