Rear seat bottom foam
Rear seat bottom foam
Anyone have an idea on where to get foam for the bottom of the rear seat in a 70 Cutlass Convertible? Chaecked the catalogs of all the usual suspects and NO ONE has one listed.

Have you tried a fabric store or a craft store. That is where I got mine.Jo-Ann Fabrics .
High Density Foam.I used 3M 777 spray adhesive and bought some heavy muslin.Covered both surfaces with the adhesive and the muslin doubled over the edges to be able to hog ring it to the frame.Worked great.Cut the foam with an electric knife for the best results.

they didn't use foam on the back seats in 1970. Front seats yes, back seats no.
They used 1" 20/20 cotton batting directly ontop of the burlap.
You can add foam if you want instead of the cotton, but it really doesn't do anything other than compress the springs.
