I’ve been looking for upholstery kits for my car and I’ve been having a hard time finding them,do kits from 88’s or Chevy’s fit?

 

You won't find a kit specifically for your Oldsmobile. Aftermarket interior kits available from suppliers like Kanter are generic and won't fit perfectly. If you want OE fabric for the interior of your Oldsmobile you can get it from SMS. Just find a local upholstery shop and they can stitch you new seat covers using the originals as a pattern.

 

Nobody makes upholstery "kits" for Oldsmobiles.
88s and Chevys use a different body with different seats than a "98". Won't fit.

 

I am not sure what level of "restoring" that you plan. Many people use the term "restoration" very broadly. If you are "restoring" to original. its more costly than finding seat covers to make the seats look good and throwing on a paint job.

Decide what you can afford and take a pic to show us the firewall tag. You will also need pics of the material covering the seats now.

I have recently started looking for the "correct" material (color and pattern) for the seats in my '49 Olds. SMS showed only one example. They claim to have others possibly available. Then, you will need to find an upholstery shop that can do the work of sewing it all together.......After you buy the material.
