They're just flat pieces of Lexan, very easy to make. I'm pretty sure they've been out of production forever.

They were held in by pieces of aluminum angle stock that got double sided tape on the body side and the cover was Velcroed to those.

The 80s have pretty much been over for 34 years. I fell into that trap in 1982 when I put those stupid louvers on the back hatch and the tinted covers on the headlights when I got my new 82 Z28. Looking back, that was just ultra fugly. And made things a PITA to clean. Lesson learned. There's probably a good reason they didn't make those for all that long, other than the fact that attrition was affecting the market for them.

Just order them off of ebay. They still sell them there. Same picture and everything!

Or Summit, Jeg's, etc.

I did that in 1976 on a '69 Impala I was driving at the time. Didn't want to have the quad headlights showing. Since that car had a large rectangular bumper surround it looked decent but like 69HO43 says, a sign of times gone by now.

Chevrolet itself did a credible job hiding 69 big car lights.

I'm not sure those headlight covers were available for any g-body but the MCSS. They were a guaranteed illegal equipment ticket in Virginia so never saw them much here.

I was thinking they probably wouldn't work on a G body Cutlass.

The FE3X is absolutely badass.

The GNX before the GNX ...

Oh if Olds never dropped the ball maybe they would still be around just like or instead of Buick ...

P.S. your Hurst Olds is gorgeous. I wouldn't alter anything...

Yes. That car is 10 times too nice to be fucked up by someone "customizing" it. Custom cars start with shitboxes, they get customized as they are restored. Fabulous originals need to be conserved.

Yes. Vader is bad ***!! I've been very unlucky with cars. All my cutlasses crapped out on me or bought a lemon. Living here in the 808 is tough. Shipping is killer and the price of living in paradise is insane. I got lucky with this one. A elderly man in Texas took care of it. I'm the 3rd owner and car was taken care of. Paint is checking, ac switch Hoses needs to be replaced. But car runs smooth.
have a great weekend hurst ohana.
