Smile Oil Filler cap

I have seen a couple different versions of the chrome oil filler cap on various 69 H/O's--mostly either 1 step down or 3 steps down along the side to the bottom of the recess. Some had an "s" on the rivet, some didn't. Mine has a cap that has an AC part number on it, probably a replacement piece?

What should I be on the lookout for?
Thanks.

As far as I'm aware it's 1 step down to the center recess and the rivet will have an 'S' on it, I may have some info on a repop, let me dig and I'll re-post.

Apparently Chevy's used the same item, can find it under GM part # 3711826 or 3851735. I have seen them on ebay for like $50 or %60 bucks, but see the following link, $15, but read my note after....

https://www.corvette-paragon.com/p-3...iller-cap.aspx

One item on that one.. it says 'has the correct SMC logo, and on the large view of the cap you can see that... that is not correct for the '69 but everything else is, need the same item without that SMC logo stamped on it.

Thanks Jeff.
The last one I saw under the second part number went for big bucks a couple weeks ago. I'll keep looking.
I have a knock off with no "S" on the rivet that I can use if necessary. It has the correct shape.

Go to this web site and enter P/N 3851735 in the search box. No "SMC" logo stamped on part per the view in the part photo.

It was a stamping flaw. Was supposed to be a dollar sign.

Stant, Stant Manufacturing Company (SMC) has been a GM OEM supplier of caps for many years.
