New 1969 H/O Owner- Looking For Original Block
Hey Everyone,
I've been dreaming of owning one of these since I first saw my first one back in '75, and finally had the opportunity to obtain one. I've had her about a month now, she's #307 and in great shape. The only issue is the original block is no longer in the car, it now has a '72. Everything else is there:
Heads are "D" casting
Exhaust manifolds are "W" & "Z" castings
Intake is correct "J" casting
Alternator is 1100833 37A
Carb is 29251RJ 0999
Distributor is 111973
Trans is OH 69 with correct VIN stamping
Rear is SJ
Obviously I would love to track down the original block. Of course, there was a reason for replacement so it may not even be worth it. I realize I'm looking for a miracle here but figured nothing ventured-nothing gained. The stamping should be 39M353925.
Thanks and glad to be part of the group!!

Thanks, I did have that concern in the back of my mind and I know it would be difficult to verify authenticity. Having a replacement block is not a big deal for me, just having the car is enough!!
