The block should be a G block 400. The heads should be D castings. If the carburetor, distributor, alternator and starter are available get them. The block itself is no different than the one used in the 442 and Vista Cruiser. But the heads if good are likely $3,000+, the bolt on parts I mentioned if codes are correct can add several hundred more, if all are correct possibly over a thousand more.

If you get it post pictures for us and we'll tell you more about it.

John

Fyi

The D heads are worth $2000-$5000 depending on condition.

The block is worth thousands.....but only to the owner of the original VIN matching car.

To everyone else the block is a boat anchor.

Prob a bit high on the head value. I believe an NOS pair was available for less than $4k recently and didn't have a line waiting for them. I sold a really rough set (cleaned and passed pressure test) for $1500, and bought a beautiful, perfect low mileage set for $3200... So that's probably a better range.

W-30 Carb and distributor can be much more valuable than stated.

Heads depends on a lot , it can cost $1,500.00+/-to properly go through a set of heads.....new, valves, seats, guides, etc.

Holy crap. That's either gotta be shill bid, or a few people were hitting the sauce way too hard when the auction ended. Time to see if someone actually pays. There will be five more sets listed on eBay within days...

Are you holding 5 sets of D heads?

No... but you'd be amazed how many are out there on shelves available, but not advertised. When I posted a wanted ad for a set here and ROP, I had 7-8 pairs offered to me within 3 weeks. I thought a nice set was going to be hard to find. Now H heads on the other hand...
