Anyone know anything about this car?

]Seller claims it's a 65K original mile car that was completely restored in 2011. Originally sold to FL and stayed in the area until he purchased it at an auction in FL and took it to his store in MI. He claims no rust and all original Body panels etc. Anyone here know anything about this car ?

That car has been on ebay for quite a while. As usual, the W-36 stripes were added during the repaint and are not in the correct place, meaning that the emblems are in the non-stripe location. Other than that, it appears to have the correct parts.

Pretty good attention to detail. Far better than most samples. I went to the Vanguard site and looked over the photos. Very nice sample, it appears, looks like it never had rust, judging by the frame.

Band type hose clamps are generic replacement for factory wire type clamps- easy fix. You'd think they could find a trans inspection cover and a new hood insulation blanket for such a well preserved specimen. Makes me wonder if the carpet underlay was left in place or replaced with new.

Refreshing to see a '68 with correct PCV pipe and connecting hose, and it even has the Hot Air stove parts?

~1.5 hrs from me, and I am not available at this time.

Boy thats's pretty and my favorite year 442 too. Anyway, I noticed the four sets of seat belts for the front seats. What gives?

A couple more observations now that I've spent time looking at the photos on their website:

The bronze engine paint looks too orange in the photos, but it's hard to tell on a computer monitor. The engine lift loop should also be bronze, not black.

The brand new power booster and M/C tells me that the disc brakes were likely added. The later photo of the front wheel shows single-piston calipers, not the correct four piston.

Converter dust cover is missing.

Shouldn't the plastic part of the dash be green, not black?

Cracks in the woodgrain wheel (not unusual) and a burn spot in the map light lens (what, they couldn't spring for a repro lens?).

What's the red button and indicator in the plate under the steering column?

Carpet should go over the seat mounting brackets, not under.

New upholstery with old faded seat backs.

What's with the gasoline-colored stains on the right front corner of the gas tank? Is there a line leaking?

And, once again, WHY do people do this?

Someone put a lot of work into using the correct detail colors on the undercarriage parts, then overlooks easy-to-fix details like the converter dust cover. You have to wonder...

One for the lap belt, one for the shoulder belt. That is correct.
