69 H/O Distributor

69 H/O Distributor
OK, I've seen a lot of information that says there are two different distributors for the 69 H/O.
1111973, the early distributor; reportedly very rare and very pricey.
1111989, also rare/pricey but less so. Also reportedly used on the W-32.
Here is my question. Did GM make a running change on the line at some time, so that certain early build dates should have the 973 and other later ones the 989? If so, around what date did the conversion occur? If not, is the 989 simply the replacement number that GM decided to go with since they were using it elsewhere?
Somewhere in the research information on the 69 H/O I got from the H/O club, there is also a handwritten note saying Doc Watson mentioned a few also got the 1111979. Not surprising I guess, since it was used on the 1970 W-30 and shows up in some later GM parts catalogs of the era (such as my 1975 edition) as a correct replacement part number for the 69 H/O.
Just trying to figure out if I should be on the lookout for some more hardware.

Not really sure what your asking me or telling me.....
I don't buy parts I am Muscle car dealer and the parts I have are from cars that I bought.... That is about all I can tell ya.
As far as 69 Ho's I have owned about 16 of them and have 1 of the original drag 69 Ho's used in 69 still to this day.... Car has 1400 miles on it..... And has this same distrib...
