Hey all, I noticed that 69442 posted a parts wanted ad for the wiring harness to a dual gate console and has not gotten a reply yet. I've only seen the little dual gate console once in real life and have no idea what kind of harness/neutral safety switch it uses. If one of you Hurst Olds owners knows the answer and/or could recommend a source would you please reply to his parts wanted ad?

Same one used on 69 yenko camaro, try parts place they have a new plastic outer shell, bop had some stuff, fusick had some the neatral safety swith is a fairly findable item on ebay, is 1/2 moon shaped w 2 male and 2 female spades. Column or floor shifted neutral safety and backup wires could simply be extended, orig harness also has shifter edge lighting for selector(console lamp small could be adapted to backlighting, some people also don't know most if not all auto floor consoles have template lines to cutout to install dual gate in reg console alleviating need to spend $109. For small plastic housing. Will still have to use dual gate bracket to floor, front one also secures shift cable (cable $25.- new @ one of places i mentioned) also avail for less than $25. Maybe $15.- trans bracke for th-400, note if you're not using a th-400 you'll likely have to fab your own bracket, a thorough inet seach i once did recently provided p#s and parts breakdown drawing, i google searched hurst dual gate and sifted through results. Hope that helps. I have a 68 dual gate for 68 h/o (x2) both destined 2 go back in car one is goin back in 68 h/o, the other convertin 68 442 400 column to 455 dual gate roadrace car...
