What is this distributor?

I can't seem to find what this goes to. There is a tag 1111080 and 570 cast in the shank. Also 6F 20 which I guess is a date? Any ideas? Thanks

I do not have '080 listed in my database, '089 is the closest I can find

1111089
65 66 67 OLDS 425 V-8 L65 DISTRIBUTOR

6F20 = 1966, June 20th, so, late 66 or early 67 model year production

You sure that's an Olds distributor?

Collector's Originality Guide Pontiac GTO 1964-1974, by Thomas DeMauro, on page 26, says it's a '65 Pontiac 389 electronic distributor:

This person on eBay seems to think so, too;

Thanks MD, I thought it must be another GM division. It does have a wire with a connector so it makes sense of the electronic part.

That eBay listing has a B-I-N of $700, so if you're looking to unload it, you may have just got yourself beer money for some "upgraded" beer.

The one I have is nos. I can't believe Pontiac guys pay that kind of money. Or I suppose you can ASK anything, you just might get it. But 700 for a core? Crazy.

It is a very specific ap dist. My books show it fits 1967 big Pontiac 428 w/ C.D. ign. 6F 20 = 1966 June 20 May have been used on GTO w/ C.D., but I show a different number for that ap.

Pontiac and Olds distributors look VERY similar, but are extremely easy to tell apart. Simply look at the bottom end of the distributor gear. Olds uses a 5/16" hex recess to drive the distributor. Pontiac (and all other GM distributors) use a flat blade drive.

I'll give you TWICE what you paid for it!

and use the parts for an Olds UHV

700 for a core compares well to the '68 442 unit

$2750 for a distributer? Can't they be rebuilt like anything else mechanical? That's insane. What idiot would pay that? It doesn't even make sense for a 6 figure restoration.

Yup, what Chris said. I think it will sell well, because somebody with a different GM C.D. will want it for the guts. There can't be that many Pontiacs w/ a 428 w/ C.D. out there.

well, an entire NOS UHV system for Olds showed up recently for less than that

http://www.ebay.com/itm/OLDS-442-67-...e0d519&vxp=mtr

but it's not the '470 distributor either

close, no cigar.

much like the police car '68 Delta UHV

same thing, only different.
