Is there a manual release for the convertible top frame on my 73 Delta 88 Royale?

Power top motor is not turning the gears to drop it. Haven't investigated the problem with the motor (fuse, bad motor or switch). Just want the top down for now till I get the time to strain my lower back investigating all the electrical stuff.

The vinyl top was ripped and worn to a major degree, so I removed it. Now I have an exoskeleton above the passenger compartment. Good chance to clean, paint and grease it before I buy an expensive cloth top.

Unscrew and unplug the two cables that go into the gear units behind each rear window in the top well, then you can move the top by hand.

The bow over the driver's head has spherical joints, and without the top attached to guide it, it can move in odd ways - you may need to guide it into the right position.

Be careful, because just after the top is at its midpoint, on its way down into the well, it gets really heavy.
