You should be able to get them at your local parts store. Can they order them for you?

I too have been looking recently for replacement 16" rubber inserts on my 1969 Cutlass, which should be the same as your '70. I was hoping to just find some rubber inserts for $5 a pair somewhere, but am coming up empty outside of some NOS Trico blades on ebay. These replacement blades were once plentiful on the autopart store shelves, but the manufacturers have seemingly moved on to selling whole wiper frames and blade units.

Trico 33162 is a classic-look replacement frame and blade, currently around $22 each at RockAuto. However, I am not looking to spend 45 to 50 bucks on wipers for a car that only sees rain twice a decade.

There are cut to fit blade inserts out there, but the mounting points look too thick to slide into my current wiper frames.

If you find something that works, please post it back here.

I haven't seen any refills in many years. I don't really think anybody is making them anymore.

NAPA can order them under the Trico Classic brand. Ask for a counter person who has a clue.

OK I take it back, I've bought these from RockAuto within the last year, but no one shows them in stock currently.

I bought a pair of these about a year ago. The slot on the clip on the refills was too small to fit my wiper frames.
Photo shows clip on last refill, left; clip on new refill, right.
I opened up the slot on the new ones with a Dremel tool and they work great. The slot didn't need to be quite as big as the previous refill was.

Wiper frame on my car with last refill.

I do kinda the same. The rubber inserts are the same for wipers with the same width and mounting style, so I buy whatever length is cheap (22” last time), remove the rubber, cut to 16”, and insert into the metal rails of my original 16” refills. Been doing this with the 13” wipers on my ‘98 Jeep Wrangler for a decade now. The 13” refills were discontinued long ago so I found a solution.

Trico 33-162 16" Wiper Replacements

I have chased blade replacements for several years without success. Trico part number 43-160 cross references to Napa 60-1612 but neither is available. I had to purchase the blade entire assembly which includes the metal frame that holds the rubber wiper; Trico part number 33-162. Here's a pic.

This seller is a neighbor of mine and I was able to get a set from him. He doesn't show everything he has for sale on ebay. You can call him direct (401) 739-6262.

I'll also suggest Ficken Wiper Service. He stocks NORS refills for Trico and Anco. He's at Carlisle swap meet and likely others as well.

Ironically I just watched a Youtube video about this subject, don't think it is too old so this might still be relavant.
