WELL. Some jerk vandalized my car this past weekend and in doing so scratched up the plate around the radio. Car is a 1976 98 Regency. I'm trying to find the wood grain panel that goes around the radio. Here's a picture of a forum member's car because I don't have a camera to take a picture of mine, hah.
I know this should be in the Interior/Trim subsection, but for some reason I couldn't post there?
One from any 1974-76 88/98 will work though I think there ARE some differences in the woodgrain year-to-year. You'll need to find one with same accessory switches yours has. The metal backing plates all have the switch cutouts so if you HAVE to use one without your specific switches, you can open the holes in the woodgrain from the back side if needed.
It's retained to the dash structure by ribbed posts. Take the radio ***** off and pull the woodgrain plate straight out, then you can see what you're dealing with.
Were the knuckleheads trying to swipe the radio? Dumbass obviously didn't have a clue what it takes to R&R 74-76 radio.
