What was your best parts find at the nationals?

I seen some GREAT parts and even better cars this week. Just wondering what each person found that was the one much needed hard to find part for your project?

My best part I will reveal later but I found some incredibly hard to find parts for the 62 Jetfire and some great literature for the 63 model year! For me, I did not need the parts for the Jetfire but with these cars you buy it if you need it or not. The jetfire people are a small group so if I don't need it one of us will.

Within 5 minutes of entering the swap meet area I was able to check off the first item on my wish list - a map light switch for a rear view mirror. Thank you Scott Winn (oldspackrat). From another vendor I scored a near perfect power window switch, and Brett (Paladin31) gave me a nice deal on a convertible pillar post. Finally, my buddy scored a NOS fuel filter for a 71/72 W-30.

Everyone took time to chat and negotiate good deals.

Here is my best find at the nationals. More like it found me. Another member here found this on Wednesday. He knew it would be perfect for my car so he offered it to me on Thursday when I showed up. It is technically NOS as in never mounted to a car. It was from some kind of display? I can tell a belt was on it in one spot for MANY years. About 1/3 the way around the pulley you can see where a belt was on it because it has some of the black from the rubber. It was not turned with this belt on for many years because it only has the marks on 1/3 of it. After cleaning it up, the inside looks perfect. Even the mounting surfaces have the fresh machined look.

I will let the member that found it tell his side if he wants to. It was a GREAT find for them and sure made me happy to get it.

I scored some literature to fill my collection. I also picked up an air cleaner base, tri pack oil fill tube and a few other odds and ends.
