Im planning on some undercoat protection at some point but never heard of this stuff. Is it like the oil some autos are sprayed with?

It is most likely the same, or a copy, of this stuff: https://www.fluid-film.com/
It has been around a long time, used by the goverment, military, etc. You can buy a paint sized spray can from Advance or Auto Zone (I forget). It's in the back, they probably won't know what you are talking about. In Western MA, in Orange, I have a friend who does it from his mechanic's business. It is done once a big job, then I think you go back at intervals to refresh it. I bought a can to try, and I do use it in places on my DD's in places, sometimes. Buy a can and try it, see if you like it. Fluid Film is the original product.

An LPS product is also available, I believe LPS-3 is the particular item. Same idea as those noted in yours and mrolds69 posts.

If Eastwood sells it, you can buy the same product somewhere else for half or two-thirds the price.

Eastwood is for suckers.
