On cars with the 350 engine the washer jar was always on the driver inner fender. On 442s or cars with a 455, due to the larger battery & battery tray, it was on the passenger side. Unless your 455 powered car also had the (optional in some years) radiator overflow jug. Then it was mounted on the driver side, or, I've heard of & have seen one car with it mounted on the rear part of the passenger side fender well. Don't think that was factory install though?
