Warped carb Air Horn

Has anyone successfully straightened a warped Quadrajet air horn?

I'm replacing a carb that has a broken casting boss at the accelerator pump. Discovered that the air horn is also, quite warped.

I found two methods to repair the broken casting boss, wasn't expecting the warped air horn.

Carb works well has is. Heck, just fine.

Regardless, the carb is being replaced with a good core. I'll throw the old one the parts bin.

EDIT. I feel I might have been premature when asking this question. Google has some suggestions, not simple but doable. If you care to tell me your tale, I would appreciate it.

Back in high school I continually overtightened the front bolts and warped the air horn (young and dumb). When I attempted to straighten it, I cracked the corner off one of the front bolt holes (again, young and dumb). After that I just doubled up on the air horn gasket to seal it off. It ran like that for nearly 20 years until I finally found (well, stumbled across) a correct-number replacement.

Oh yeah, I also discovered much later that the float bowl was warped to match the air horn, so even if I had straightened the air horn it would not have sealed up.

You know, I always tried to be careful to not over do the mounting bolts.

It never once dawned on me, that over tightening the air cleaner also contributes to this warped condition, by pulling up.

That is what a little searching will learn ya.
