Rally Pac Temp Gauge

What are the actual temperatures represented by the indices on the gauge?

I don't think they all read exactly the same. Only one I ever had a temp gauge on was 180 degrees when the needle was between the first 1/4 mark and the 1/2 mark. That engine never got above 180 so not sure what the half mark would be.

Just seen your other post that this is a repop set of gauges. I have no clue where they will read on the repop gauges. I hear they are far worse than the originals for consistency. For the money of the repops you likely could have sent the originals in to be repaired. That is still what I would do if I were you.

My gages are OEM. The temp gage reads just over the 1/2 mark and I'm running 180° t-stat. When I was running a 195° t-stat the needle was just over the 3/4 mark. Does that help?

The Chevrolet gauges of the similar time were listed as 100 at the bottom, 210 in the middle, and 250 on the top. I doubt they were anything but linear, so that's probably more like 170-210-250. A 16 psi cap with 50/50 should boil at 262 so 250 is functional.
